Expected benefits of the Focus Mind programme:
- Better understanding of one’s ADHD: identifying one’s attentional functioning, difficulties and resources through psychoeducation.
- Gaining mental clarity: learning to step back from intrusive thoughts, better prioritise tasks and engage one’s attention.
- Facilitating decision-making: reducing hesitation and mental overload in order to make decisions more calmly and effectively.
- Better regulation of emotions and stress: recognising emotional signals, reducing automatic reactions and developing more appropriate responses.
- Improving communication and relationships: learning to express one’s needs, listen and manage tense situations more consciously.
The programme is based on the latest scientific knowledge concerning ADHD, psychoeducation, and approaches derived from mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapies and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
