A Cerebrovascular accident can occur suddenly and requires urgent care. Recognising the warning signs and acting quickly can save lives and limit the after-effects. That is why this day aims to provide the public with better information about symptoms, risk factors and prevention.
The teams from the H.U.B Neurovascular Clinic (Stroke Unit) will be present throughout the day to provide information about cerebrovascular accidents, their management and the care pathway. Educational materials will also be available (nutrition, smoking, speech and balance disorders, driving, etc.).
Free tests will be offered in interactive areas:
Health Area – Assess your risk factors for a cerebrovascular accident
- Blood pressure measurement
- Heart rate measurement
- Assessment of body mass index (weight versus height).
- Blood glucose: measuring the blood sugar level
- Upon arrival, a personalised roadmap will enable you to follow your results.
