Programme
This year, women’s heart health is in the spotlight as part of Heart Week. Why?
- Because women with cardiovascular problems are often diagnosed too late or not diagnosed at all.
- Because medicine is learning more and more about the specific characteristics of women’s heart health. Although women can suffer from the same cardiovascular conditions as men, their symptoms can present differently.
- Because women are still underrepresented in clinical studies aimed at developing new treatments or improving our understanding of certain conditions.
At H.U.B, our specialists are committed to ensuring that women’s cardiovascular health, and women’s health more broadly, receive the attention and care they deserve.
That is why, when it comes to women’s heart health, cardiologists work closely with gynaecologists, among others, to address issues such as cardiovascular risks related to pregnancy, menopause, certain genetic factors, contraception, as well as conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
What’s on the programme?
- Information on cardiovascular risks, heart failure, metabolic and hormonal effects, etc.
- Screening with various tests, including blood pressure checks.
- Live discussions with our specialists.
The stand is free and open to everyone, but priority will be given to women who have questions or would like to be screened.
