What if knowing your sickle cell status could change your future – and that of your future children?

Screening Day Program

Information stand

  • Awareness about sickle cell disease and the importance of preconception screening
  • Presentation of the care pathway for sickle cell patients followed at the H.U.B (remove “nation” and HUB mention)
  • Specific support for sickle cell patients planning to become parents
  • Awareness on blood donation by the Red Cross

Walk-in consultations

  • On-the-spot screening test
The test is a quick finger-prick blood test. Participants will receive their result, a flyer explaining how to interpret it, and the option to have a consultation the same day (or later by appointment) to discuss it.
  • Individual and confidential consultations with a specialist hematologist and a genetics expert for any questions or advice

Why get screened?

Sickle cell disease is a serious hereditary condition. Preconception screening enables informed choices and helps anticipate risks for future generations. Come by, get informed, and ask all your questions in a supportive and welcoming environment.
