Holiday Season & Eating Disorders: dedicated telephone support lines

For many families dealing with an eating disorder (ED), festive meals can become a source of anxiety. To support you during this period, the ED Reference Centre is setting up dedicated telephone support lines.

Telephone support lines to help families through the festive season

The end-of-year holidays are often associated with sharing, warmth and togetherness… but they can also become a challenging period when a young person is living with an eating disorder (ED).
Long meals, social pressure, comments about food or weight – all of these can create stress and worry for young people and their families.

To support parents and relatives during this sensitive time, the Eating Disorders Reference Centre at the University Hospital of Brussels is offering dedicated telephone support lines.
