The National Reference Centre for Congenital Infections is part of the network of National Reference Centres coordinated by Sciensano.
Our specialties
The NRL performs serological (confirmatory) and microbiological (PCR) analyses for the following conditions: cytomegalovirus (CMV), Toxoplasma gondii, rubella and parvovirus B19. It is accredited in accordance with the EN ISO 15189 standard. The NRL provides its expertise by advising clinicians and biologists on the diagnosis and prognosis of congenital infections.
